This Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into by and between Grow Home, hereinafter referred to as the “Employer,” and the undersigned fieldwork crew member, hereinafter referred to as the “Employee.”
Purpose
This Agreement sets forth the expectations, responsibilities, and milestones for crew members participating in the Grow Home fieldwork program. The goal is to support the development of skills, professional growth, and career advancement to enable successful graduation from the program and the transition to full-time employment.
1. Transportation Requirements
Upon entry into the fieldwork crew, the Employer will assess the transportation capabilities and barriers of the Employee to determine the best course of action for commuting to worksites. The Employee understands and agrees to the following:
- Driver’s License:
If the Employee does not have a valid driver’s license, the Employee is expected to obtain one in accordance with the milestone requirements outlined below. - Public Transportation:
If the Employee is not familiar with the public transportation routes to the worksite, the Employer will provide training on how to use public transportation to ensure reliable attendance at work.
2. Milestone Timeline and Requirements
The Grow Home program is structured to ensure that crew members develop the skills necessary to secure permanent employment and achieve self-sufficiency. The following milestones and requirements are set forth as part of the Employee’s program participation.
- At 3 Months:
- The Employee must have obtained a government-issued ID.
- The Employee must have opened a personal bank account.
- The Employee must be enrolled in a driving school or show evidence of progress toward obtaining a driver’s license.
- At 6 Months:
- The Employee must have successfully obtained a valid driver’s license.
- The Employee must provide evidence that they have begun searching for employment opportunities and submitted job applications.
- The Employee will be given an opportunity to participate in a certification program for future employment.
- The Employee will be expected to work volunteer events sponsored by Grow Home and/or partners of Grow Home within the first 6 months of employment.
- At 8 Months:
- The Employee must have identified at least one viable employment opportunity and should be in discussions with potential employers.
- The Employee should be prepared to graduate from the Grow Home program.
- At 12 Months:
- The Employee must have successfully completed the Grow Home program, having gained permanent employment.
- The Employee will also maintain the opportunity to continue receiving case management services and support from Grow Home as needed.
- The Employee may be invited to share their experience as a crew member with Grow Home and serve as a mentor to new program participants.
3. Program Participation and Expectations
The Employee agrees to the following:
- Attendance and Punctuality:
The Employee will attend all scheduled fieldwork days and related training sessions. If unable to attend, the Employee will notify the Employer as soon as possible and provide a valid reason for absence. - Performance and Conduct:
The Employee is expected to perform work tasks in a professional, safe, and effective manner. Any behavior that negatively impacts the team or the organization may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the program. - Milestone Achievement:
The Employee understands that failure to meet the milestones set forth in this agreement may result in the Employee’s dismissal from the Grow Home program. The Employer will work with the Employee to provide guidance and support to help meet these goals.
4. Support and Resources
The Employer agrees to provide the following support to the Employee during their participation in the Grow Home program:
- Access to transportation training, including public transportation routes and driving school resources.
- Case management services to help the Employee develop job search skills, refine their resume, and prepare for interviews.
- Career development and employment transition support to help secure permanent, full-time employment.
- Ongoing support, even after program graduation, to assist with employment retention and career advancement.
5. Termination of Agreement
This Agreement may be terminated by the Employer or the Employee with written notice. Termination may occur if the Employee fails to meet the milestone requirements or violates the terms of this Agreement. The Employee may voluntarily exit the program at any time, but is encouraged to communicate with the Employer to discuss any concerns or challenges that may arise during the program.
6. Acknowledgement
By signing below, the Employee acknowledges that they have read and understood the terms and expectations of this Agreement. The Employee agrees to actively participate in the Grow Home program and meet the outlined requirements to the best of their ability.
